" I think that John Carney has it just about right here. Wednesday was a planned quickie trip that Captain Bob and I took to the Twin Cities area to hook up with Jason Boucher, and Ben Witt. We were going to hit up the Murph and Leb trails for whatever we could jam in on a short afternoon, then head back home. It was well worth it! The day started out by getting to Milltown Cycles and having a quick lunch of grilled chicken breast and scallions with Ben before we checked out to hook up with Jason at the Murphy Hanrehan trail head. Jason brought over a couple Spearfish rigs, which Captain Bob and I happily hopped on. It wasn't long before we were cruising some fast, smooth Murph trail through the woods. When I noticed that our bouquet of hydrangeas were looking a little thirsty, I thought I'd give them a nice relaxing bath. They look relaxed, don't they? My passion for hydrangeas has led us to plant more than ten varieties so far. The bathing hydrangea above are the Endless Summer variety. Who's this? xoxoxoxoxo. "Wise men learn more from fools than fools from wise men. " - Chinese proverb A stunning story was published in the New York Times entitled "The Doctor vs. " A more appropriate title would have been "The Doctor vs. D. But there are glitches, as a patient of mine recently brought to light. "Police say they arrested one man after a shooting Monday afternoon in Kinston. I spent a week in Massachusetts this fall, and enjoyed a wonderful visit and book signing at The Carle. Here I am with a young friend who waited patiently in line and presented me with his own book project. And while in Northampton, MA I spent some time working in my old studio in the building where I created many of my books. But it wasn't a book I was working on. here's a little video if you would to see what I was up to. Photo credit: Kristin AngelVideo credit: Rachel Hass. If I disagree I'll counter. Simple enough. Oh, enjoy the weekend too. But if you were making this card for an anniversary or birthday you could incorporate the year. I should have taken a picture of my desk after I made this card, because I made a huge mess for one card!! I had lots of embellishments and supplies out.
It may be hard to tell in the photo, but I embossed the frame with silver pearl embossing powder.Next I wanted to add a button, one that was unusual. I dumped out the jar of buttons that I have from my great grandmother's stash and went to searching. I wanted to add a ticket to the card, so I decided to create my own. I cut the base shape with the cricut and then used the small hole punch to create the torn effect on the edges. Because a lot of this was cut with my cricut I went ahead and cut some extras so that I could put a few kits together. Friends, I have a small problem. First it started with this nice spice rack, which soon filled up. Then, as you can see, I spread out all over the counter with other spices.
Then, I cleaned out one of the drawers, and quickly filled that with more spices. What happens is that I hear about some great spice or I see some spice on the shelf at the Japanese grocery store, and I just cannot resist it. But, then I get home, and truth be told, I don't really know what to do with it. Or, I use it in that one recipe that inspired me to buy it. All pieces are knitted flat. Per un giorno illudiamoci siano tornate le spiagge bianche!. I love Kraft Paper! I was going to make a card and then I saw these kraft tags sitting on my shelf and i thought. this would be perfect for a little hello greeting tag. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem. To say that Holland and Eden like bubbles would be a HUGE understatement. You know, I joined a "Micropreemie Blog Moms" Group a while back, and have found it to be really interesting, useful, helpful, and supportive forum. I feel like I have gotten to know some of the group members pretty well, and have found them to be quite wonderful in responding to me when I need someone to vent my frustrations to, as well as to ask questions related to having preemies. Occasionally, someone will post a question related to having a child with a disability, such as what are the signs/symptoms of CP, what is a good pediatric stander, etc. Sometimes there are questions I feel qualified to respond to, and sometimes not. Recently through this blog, I have "met" a few other moms of children with CP, and have gotten to like them quite well! Collectively I think we have a lot of questions, as well as a lot of answers and ideas that we can share with one another. So, I think I would like to start a "Cerebral Palsy Moms" Group where we can keep in touch and connect with one another on another level. I think this could be a valuable resource for us to share ideas and experiences, and to learn from and help one another. My son stays in this room when he visits. I try not to "girl" it up. I do a simple little tree and greens in the hanging baskets. He's a very modern style guy with touches of industrial in his decor. I add some macho red. a. b. c. d. e. f. Regular readers will remember previous articles here about Chief Medical Officer Sally Davies and why she is not fit for purpose. Well, I'm starting to think she merits her own dedicated sidebar tag here after reading an astonishing quote on Friday. Via the Telegraph: “As chief medical officer, it is my duty to raise concerns about possible misreporting of health issues that might cause public alarm. ” Funny she should say that because, if you've kept up with Sally's burblings about e-cigs, you may remember her making claims like this earlier in the year. “We don't yet know about vaping. I mean clearly they put in flavourings, we don’t know the impact of those. Butterscotch has had to be withdrawn because people got chronic lung disease. ” It was an entirely false claim which was reported on the BBC, and arguably might have caused "public alarm". Implying that e-cigs are all dangerous because of one insignificant and incorrect piece of information about one of thousands of flavours is the epitome of "misreporting of health issues that might cause public alarm". A senior government adviser attempted to undermine a controversial study suggesting that Alzheimer’s is a transmissible disease before it was published in the journal Nature. The dragon is the cast iron steamer that sits on top of it, and smoke rises from its flared nostrils. It was a gift from a reader, and I adore it so much. It's just a snapshot of a corner of a life. But it shows the odd mix of fire, music, fight, craft, myth and spirit in this life. I wanted to share it. Another cold one this morning but the farm presses on. This Show Biz is All Right!. I got out my Bright Delight rub ons realizing that they areretired and figured I better use them up and make a bunchof cards for a friend out there! Any takers? tee hee. Ruth Gurvich. New Stamps and new color: Daffodil- PRETTY!Here are just a few of the party Favors! each of my open house guests left with a mini milk carton filled with chocolate. Just a fluke that I was checking out the NYT's op-ed page when it happened, but then connoisseurs know that the fluke is the tastiest part of the fish which Cholly Baker's imaginary New Bedford fishermen are constantly hauling out of the Atlantic. Mr. He longs for the Good Old Days when families would take a break from a busy day of killing themselves for pennies at dance marathons or dying of scurvy to crowd around the Philco and listen to Jack Armstrong, The All American Boy being American, Terry and the Pirates tangling with The Dragon Lady, and FDR building coalitions by the sheer powah of his remahhkable non-rhotic, Groton accent: Some politicians, like F.
